House Code
House Code defines the obligations SOU members have to one another. Rules are shown automatically inside the app; they are also published here as a permanent reference. Membership acceptance constitutes acknowledgement of these rules.
1. Standards of Conduct
SOU members approach one another with respect, honesty, and a curated context. The community is limited in size; every member carries the value of the whole.
- Address others the way you would wish to be addressed.
- In the first message, be warm and introduce yourself genuinely.
- Accept "no" with grace; do not insist.
- If intent (acquaintance / friendship / professional / conversation) differs, mention it politely.
2. Identity Fraud and Fake Profiles
SOU uses AI-powered verification: AI identity reading (comparing the document against your verification selfie), face matching via a three-angle verification selfie, and an optional criminal record. Despite this system, the following behaviour results in permanent ban when detected:
- Using another person's identity, photos, or personal information (catfishing)
- Using AI-generated, photoshopped, or years-old photos
- Opening a second account (one-person-one-account policy)
- Attempting to pass identity verification on behalf of someone else
- Uploading a falsified criminal record
Users suspected of operating fake profiles can be reported to appeal@souprivate.com with screenshots and the reference code. Review within 24 hours.
3. Harassment, Threats, and Hate Speech
The following behaviours result in immediate content removal and ban:
- Sexual harassment: unwanted sexual messages, images, or audio
- Threats: physical harm, revenge porn threats, threats against family/work
- Hate speech: demeaning language based on race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability
- Stalking: reaching out despite being blocked, tracking through other accounts
- Extortion: demanding money or favours over compromised information/photos
4. Privacy and Doxxing
Sharing another member's personal information (phone, address, email, workplace, social media accounts, family details) that they did not explicitly share publicly or with third parties is prohibited. This includes publishing screenshots of conversations on other platforms.
Sharing previous conversations with third parties after the channel has been closed is also a violation.
5. Fraud and Romance Scams
The following behaviours on SOU are always considered fraud and result in immediate permanent ban:
- Requesting money transfers, bank information, or cryptocurrency wallets
- Redirecting to third-party platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram DM, foreign dating sites)
- Promoting investments, business opportunities, or MLM
- Requesting payment with gift cards, invoice payments, or customs duties as pretexts
- Requesting help under pretexts of urgent medical situations, family trauma, or being stranded abroad
Important: Any message on SOU requesting money is fraud. SOU never requests payments from its members; all payments are made through the Apple App Store.
6. Child Safety
SOU is open only to users aged 18 and over. Any content under-18 or involving an under-18 person is subject to zero tolerance:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) detected results in immediate content removal and permanent ban
- Where legally required, reports are made to competent law enforcement and prosecutors; call 112 for immediate danger in Türkiye, and NCMEC where internationally applicable
- Reporting: appeal@souprivate.com (reviewed within 24 hours)
7. Sexual Content (NSFW)
SOU is not a dating app, but a curated introduction platform. Therefore:
- Profile photos may not contain sexual content, nudity, or provocative poses
- Sexual propositions, sexual imagery, or provocative questions in the first message are prohibited
- With explicit consent of both parties, explicit content may occur in private, locked conversation channels — non-consensual sharing is always a violation
- Revenge porn or non-consensual intimate imagery results in permanent ban + reporting to authorities
8. Sanctions Scale
| Violation Type | First Offense | Repeat |
|---|---|---|
| Minor: small breach of courtesy, language | Warning (in-app notification) | 7-day suspension |
| Moderate: persistent contact, disrespect of stated intent | 7-day suspension | 30-day suspension |
| Severe: harassment, threats, doxxing, hate speech | Permanent ban | Report to legal authorities |
| Critical: fraud, CSAM, identity fraud, revenge porn | Permanent ban + report to authorities | — |
9. Reporting Process
To report a member:
- In-app: profile → ⋯ menu → "Report" (with category)
- Or: appeal@souprivate.com with screenshots and reference code
All reports are reviewed by House Council human moderators within 24 hours. The Trust & Safety team makes the decision; the outcome is communicated to both the reporter and the reported member.
10. Right of Appeal
A banned or suspended member may appeal within 14 days of the decision at appeal@souprivate.com. Include:
- Member reference code or registered email
- Date of the decision notification
- Grounds for appeal (new evidence or explanation of misinterpretation)
The appeal is resolved within 14 business days by the House Council Appeals Committee. The decision is final, but your right to seek legal recourse is preserved.
11. Government Data Requests
Data requests from judicial authorities (court orders, prosecutor instructions, GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)) are subject to legal review. SOU shares data only when legally required and limited to the scope of the request. In emergencies (imminent danger to life), action may be taken without prior notice.
12. Crisis Support Resources
If a member or you are experiencing a mental-health crisis:
- Türkiye — immediate crisis/self-harm risk: 112 or the nearest emergency department
- Türkiye — non-emergency hospital appointments: MHRS / ALO 182 (not a crisis line)
- EU/UK: Samaritans 116 123
- USA: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
- Violence/harassment: Local authorities or domestic violence hotline
13. Transparency
SOU will publish an annual community transparency report: violation types, ban counts, appeal outcomes, government requests. First report: January 2027.
